BILLINGS, Mont. -- On August, 21, 2006, at the age of 71, Norm died while playing golf in Billings, Mont. He was born the son of Stephen Decatur and Velma (Keil) Sekavec on Feb. 11, 1935 in Brownell, Kan.

In 1954, he was united in marriage to Rita Schreiber in Ransom, Kan. He retired from the U.S.P.S. in McCook. In 1984 they moved to Billings, where they have resided since.

He served in the U.S. Army. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and the manager of the East Rosebud Association for four years.

He loved reading, hunting, gardening, fishing, traveling and his grandchildren. During his golfing career, he landed seven holes in one. His only vice was he was a lifetime Cornhusker fan.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Rita; son Jeff and wife, Lisa of Billings, Mont., and grandchildren Tyler and Tanner of Bozeman, Mont.; daughter, Kim O'Dea and husband, Jim of McCook and grandchildren, Breanna Walling and husband, Jeremy of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Ryan O'Dea of Chadron, and Cori O'Dea of McCook; daughter, Diane Sink and husband, John of Cheyenne, Wyo., and grandchildren, Danke Johns and husband, Rick of Lebanon, Pa.; great grandchildren Madalyn and Sophie; grandchildren, JoVanna Eisenbarth and husband, Carsten of Tulsa, Okla.; and one sister, Melba Snodgrass of Ransom, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
