Mauren Elizabeth Pearson, died Saturday (Aug. 19, 2006) at Community Hospital in McCook at the age of 61.
She was born May 4, 1945, at Grand Island, the daughter of Gregory and Audrey (Wolfe) O'Rourke. She grew up at Grand Island where she graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1963.
She married Arthur Glur in 1965 at Grand Island. They moved to North Platte in 1973.
She moved to McCook in 1987 and married Stanley Pearson on Oct. 1, 1995, in McCook. She worked as a waitress at Fullers Cafe' until 2003.
She was a member of the McCook Eagles Club.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gregory O'Rourke.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Pearson of McCook; two sons, Douglas Glur and wife, Nadine of Bismark, N.D., and Richard Glur and wife, Mischelle of Mobile, Ala.; one daughter, Melissa Glur and fiancee Lynn Biltoft of McCook; her mother, Audrey O'Rourke of Grand Island; six grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis O'Rourke and wife, Sherryl of Yankton, S.D., and Kevin O'Rourke and wife, Mary of Hastings; three sisters, Sheila Gleason of Grand Island, Peggy Zlomke and husband, John of McCook and Erin Brady and husband, Richard of San Diego, Calif.; 11 nieces and nephews; relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with the Rev. Richard Melano officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.
Memorials may be given in her name and friends may call at Herrmann Funeral Home from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
