Hoehner, Yilk wedding

Elizabeth and Jeremy Yilk
KEARNEY -- Elizabeth Hoehner of Kearney and Jeremy Yilk of Gothenburg, were united in marriage June 24, 2006, at Zion Lutheran Church in Kearney with the Rev. North P. Sherrill officiating.

Parents of the couple are Kyle and Michelle Hoehner of Kearney and Daniel and Donna Yilk of Gothenburg.

Grandparents are Frank and Andrea Bower of McCook, Dorothy Nicholson of McCook, the late Loyall Nicholson, and Patricia Hoehner of Kearney, the late LeRoy Hoehner, Roy Christensen of Edison and the late Anne Christensen.

The maid of honor was Erica Cochran of Kearney, the bride's cousin. Bridesmaids were Amy Springer of Kearney, Amy Vaughn of Lincoln, Sarah Newlun of Omaha and Kristen Yilk of Lincoln.

The bridegroom's brother, Adam Yilk of Gothenburg, served as the best man. Bridegroomsmen were Kendall Christensen of Lincoln, Garth Mins, Tyler Bullock and Justin Hoehner, all of Kearney.

Flower girls were Brooklyn Christensen of Imperial and Hannah Goltl of McCook.

The ring bearer was Jack Goering of Grand Island.

Candlelighters were Kellsey Hoehner of Kearney and Rachel Goltl of McCook.

Mike Miller of Littleton, Colo., Mitch Hock of Lexington, Chip Shield of Soiux Falls, S.D., and Brent Christensen of Arapahoe served as ushers.

The organist was Ernie Blecha of Gothenburg. The soloist were Micah Reeves and Kaitlyn Clark of Gothenburg.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Kearney Community Theater. Guestbook attendants were Nicole Hoehner of Kearney and Krystal Koester of Frisco, Texas.

Host couples were Mel and Ruth Christensen of Arapahoe, Brad and Melanie Cochran of Imperial and Chris and Sarah Hoehner of Kearney.

The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

The bride is a first grade teacher at McCook Elementary. The bridegroom is a third grade teacher at McCook Elementary and is a coach for both football and basketball at McCook High School.

The couple is making their home in McCook.
