OBERLIN?-- Delores A. Zodrow, 79, died Sunday (Aug. 13, 2006) in McCook.
She was born Feb. 3, 1927, to Frank and Marie (Spanier) Moeder in Selden. She was raised in Selden and attended Leoville Schools and graduated from Decatur Community High School.
On Nov. 23, 1949, she married Elmer Zodrow in Oberlin. She was employed as a cook and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, American Legion Auxilliary, Lions Club and managed the Oberlin Meal Site.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; two brothers, Florentz "Teeny" and Clement "Sonny" Moeder; and a sister Bernadine Preston.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Marie Roy and husband, Terry of Rising City; two sons, Clifford E. and wife Deborah of Ozark, Ala., and Leonard "Lenny" and fiancee', Jerilyn of Max; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oberlin, with the Rev. Henry Saw Lone officiating. Interment will follow in the Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation is today until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 8-9:30 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin. Vigil services are also today at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in her name to the Decatur Community High School wrestling club or the Callihan Cancer Center in North Platte.
