Jody Haag and Jeremy Joel, both of Lincoln, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. Parents of the couple are Charles D. and Betsy Haag of Oberlin and Edward and Suzanne Joel of North Platte. Grandparents of the bride-to-be are Robert K. Cox of McCook and Charles and Nadean Haag of Wilsonville. The bride-to-be earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice at Chadron State College. She is an intensive family preservation skillbuilder with Visionet Inc. in Lincoln and is enrolled full time at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, pursuing a teaching certificate. The prospective bridegroom earned bachelor degrees in English and psychology at the University of South Dakota. He is a corrections sergeant with the Lancaster County Department of Corrections in Lincoln. An Aug. 12, 2006, ceremony is planned at the United Methodist Church in Weeping Water.
