Desert flower

While native fauna and flora wilt in the 100-plus degree temperatures, these cacti in Bob and Carol Stensvad's yard on West First in McCook are thriving and even blooming, a rare event according to Bob. The odorless bloom nevertheless has become a favorite for honey bees.
