LINCOLN -- David Fredrick Daugherty, 40, died Thursdsay (July 13, 2006) at home.
He was born Aug. 21, 1965, in Hutchinson, Kan. He was a graduate of McCook High School and the University of Sioux Falls South Dakota, with a communications major with an emphasis in broadcasting.
He was previously employed in radio as Dave Matthews in Sioux Falls, S.D., McCook, Kearney, and Lincoln, including KBRL, KICX, KPAT/KSOO, KICX, KKPR, KLIN/KEZG, KFMQ and KZKX. He was employed by G-Tech at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Elizabeth Daugherty; and his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Stephanie (Armstrong) Daugherty of Lincoln; a step-daughter, Amanda Kessler of Lincoln; his mother, Marjorie Daugherty of Lincoln; his father and step-mother, Fred and Bobbi Daugherty of Bensalem, Pa.; a sister, Deb Daugherty-Anderson of Lincoln; and his grandmother, Helen Daugherty of Columbus, Ind.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Street. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park.
Visitation is Monday, 4-9 p.m. with family greeting friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday for one hour prior to services
Memorials may be left in the care of the family.
