Rebels Black 14 squad 2nd at state tournament

HASTINGS -- The McCook Rebels Black 14 and under girls fastpitch softball team finished second at the Nebraska Class B state tournament over the weekend.

The Rebels posted a 5-2 record. The two losses came against the Adams Outlaws, the eventual tournament champions.

The Rebels, now 33-16-4, are hoping for a spot in the national tournament, which starts July 31 in Aurora, Colo.
