WALLAND, Tenn. -- A Tennesee man who allegedly stole pistols and shotguns and took a 16-year-old Oberlin girl with him has surrendered to authorities in Tennessee.

Sean Gregory Fife, 21, was arrested by a Blount County sheriff's officer Friday afternoon after family members said he was ready to surrender.

He had been the subject of a manhunt after he allegedly left Oberlin May 25 with the girl. She and Fife were found about a week ago, and Fife fled on foot. The girl was returned to her family in Oberlin. She told authorities they were staying in motels in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., for the last month.

Fife was being held without bond in the Blount County Jail on four counts of contempt of court.

He is to appear in Blount County Circuit Court at 9 a.m. Friday.

He also faces extradition to Kansas on a charge of enticement of a minor for indecent purposes, as well as the theft of several pistols and a shotgun in the Oberlin burglary.

Although he was considered armed and dangerous, he was arrested without incident at the family home in Walland, Tenn.
