NORFOLK -- Funeral Services for Paul F. Geisler, 95 of Norfolk will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Christ Lutheran Church, Norfolk. Pastor Chip Winter will officiate. Interment will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Lyons Cemetery in Lyons. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at the Howser-Fillmer Mortuary and prior to service time at the church on Wednesday. He died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at Faith Regional Health Services, Norfolk.

He was born August 9, 1910, to George and Ida (Langewish) Geisler at Lyons. He was baptized by Rev. J. Lang. He was confirmed April 5, 1925, by Rev. A. W. Lambrecht, and he attended St. John's Lutheran School and District No. 71.

He married Edna Happel at Immanuel Lutheran Church on January 28, 1940, by Rev. E. Eckhardt. They moved to a farm southeast of Lyons where they lived until 1996. They retired from farming in 1975. Paul was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lyons. He served as a trustee and on the board of education.

In 1996 they moved to Norfolk where he was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Edna, a daughter, Elaine (Geisler), her husband, Jerry Holmberg of Norfolk, a son, Robert, his wife Elizabeth of McCook.; five grandchildren, Boyd Geisler, Brad Geisler, Nanci Mintling, Greg Holmberg, Dan Holmberg; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a Great-grandson, Maxwell Paul Holmberg; four brothers William, George, Herbert, and Fred; and a sister, Luella.

Memorials may be directed to Christ Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Hour.
