The ol' swimming hole

Air temperatures in the 80s and a cool rain the day before didn't discourage swimmers from flocking to the McCook swimming pool for opening day Wednesday. Pool manager Jody Crocker said the water temperature was "still a little cool, but that won't last for long," she laughed. Crocker plans swimming lessons probably the end of June or the first part of July. The pool opens each day at 1 p.m.; closing hours will depend upon attendance and the weather.
