STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. -- Brett C. Witt, 25, died Saturday ( May 13, 2006) at Detroit, Michigan.
He was born Dec. 21, 1980, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Richard and Paula (Puhl) Witt. He attended Hastings Public Schools and graduated from Hastings High School in 1999. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and attended Central Community College after high school.
He was a former member of the Hastings Church of Christ and the Hastings Soccer Club.
He worked in automobile marketing and traveled extensively with his job.
He was employed by Impato Custom Marketing of Detroit at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mae Puhl.
Survivors include his parents, Dick and Paula Witt of Hastings; special friend Leigh Witkowski of Sterling Heights, Mich.; brothers, Scott Witt and wife, Anita of New York City, and Matt Witt of Hastings; sister, Tina amd husband, Dwight Roth of Hastings; and grandparents, Bill and Elaine Witt of McCook.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Nebraska Youth Camp of Kearney and the Valley Hope Treatment Center of O'Neill.
Book signing and visitiation will at Butler -Volland Funeral Home in Hastings, Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The family will be present 7 -9 p.m.
