Nadine L. Meints died May 7, 2006 at Community Hospital of McCook, Neb., at the age of 82.
She was born Jan. 23, 1924, at Moorehead, Iowa, the daughter of the late Leo J. and M. Pearl (Chambers) Cross.
Nadine grew up in Iowa where she graduated from high school. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Culbertson and later became a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in McCook.
On. Aug. 4, 1947, Nadine married Vernon Meints. They spent their married life in McCook, where they owned Modern Cleaners and Modern Interiors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern on Feb. 7, 2005; and by one daughter, Merry Jeanne Bunstock on May 13, 2001. One brother, Eugene Cross and one sister, Cleo Potter are also deceased.
Nadine is survived by two grandsons, Troy Erdman and his wife, Rita of McCook and Derek Erdman and his wife, Ginger of North Platte, Neb.; two great-grandsons, Brock and Nicholas; three great-granddaughters, Mallory, Jessica and Brenna; tw0 step-great-grandchildren, Heith Sauvage and Danielle Schilty; one sister, Norma Jean Myers of Rochester, N.H.; brother-in-law, Donald E. Meints and his wife, Charlotte of Oberlin, Kan.; sisters-in-law, Myra Meints of Lincoln, Neb., and Doris Brown and husband Wilbur of Elm Creek, Neb.; many nephews, nieces and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May. 10, 2006, at Peace Lutheran Church in McCook with the Rev. Randy Wahl officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.
Memorials may be given in her name and friends may call at Herrmann Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
