Gottlieb "Gene" Moser

BENKELMAN -- Gottlieb "Gene" Moser, 89, formerly of McDonald, died Sunday, (April 30, 2006) at the Sarah Ann Hester Memorial Home in Benkelman.

He was born Oct. 21, 1916, at Coldwater, N.D., to Jacob and Margaret (Kraft) Moser.

On April 27, 1952, he married Gladys Nellie Harper at Benkelman.

He farmed in Rawlins County, near McDonald, until 1996 when he moved to the Hester Home in Benkelman.

He was a member of the Federated Church in McDonald for many years.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Jacob and Margaret Moser; brothers, Clarence, Fred, Eddie and Jake; sisters, Doris Wheaton, Anna Wheaton, Kay Wheaton, Betty Bowen; and infant sister, LaVina.

Survivors include his sisters, Dorothy Rummel of Greeley, Colo., and Marie Burgess and husband, Zeke of Buena Park, Calif.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. (MDT), Saturday at Forch Funeral Chapel in Benkelman with the Rev. Sean Redmond officiating. Interment will follow services at the Benkelman Cemetery.

There will be no visitation. The casket will be open prior to services.

Memorials may be given in his name.
