PENDER -- Charlotte M. Wells, 95, of Pender, died Sunday, (April 28, 2006) at Pender.

She was born Nov. 24, 1910, at Delphos, Kan., to Samuel and Carrie (Courtney) Meyers. She wa raised in Frankfort, Kan., and attended school in Frankfort.

On Jan. 21, 1933, she married Mark O. Wells in Seneca, Kan. From the 1960s to 1988, the couple lived in Oberlin, before moving to Bucklin, Kan. They later moved to Pender. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the United Church of Oberlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; a son, Richard Lee Wells; and a daughter-in-law, Louise Wells.

Survivors include three sons, John Wells of Arriba, Colo., Maynard Wells and wife, Carol of Pender, and James Wells and wife, Janet of Lenexa, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin. Interment will be at the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation will be today until 8 p.m. and fromc 8 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday.

Memorials may given in her name to the Pender Care Center.
