BEAVER CITY -- Alice Marie Miles, 77, of Beaver City, died Saturday (April 22, 2006) at Beaver City Manor.
She was born Dec. 8, 1928, at Arnold, to Fredrick and Fern (Chelsey) Brook.
She lived around the Stanford and Wilsonville area while growing up.
She married Frank Miles, who died in 1992. She lived in the Holdrege area for 14 years before moving to McCook, where she was a cook at the McCook Townhouse. She moved to the Beaver City Manor and Assisted Living on May 23, 2000.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Miles; a son, Gary; six brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include six sons, Larry Stauffer of Kearney, Michael Stauffer of Omaha, David Staffer of Scottsbluff, Roland Stauffer of Elm Creek, and Nicky Stauffer of Scottsbluff; three daughters, twins Peggy and Katherine Stauffer of Florida and Janice Jensen of Linwood, Wash.; one sister, Eva Shivley of Brady; special friend and caregiver Linda Jackson of Beaver City; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 9:30 a.m., Tuesday at Beaver City Manor activity room with Keith Theobold officiating. Private inurnment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City.
