Kieth Dale Pierce

BERTRAND -- Kieth Dale Pierce, 64, of Bertrand, Nebraska, died Wednesday (April 12, 2006) at home in Bertrand.

He was born August 30, 1941, at Eddyvilleto Ernest W. and Georgianne A. (Byrom) Pierce.

He grew up and attended school at Eddyville, graduating from Eddyville High School with the class of 1958.

He then served his Country in the United States Air Force. On Feb. 18, 1961, he married Ellen Christina Edwards, at Penywaun, South Wales U.K. Ellen and Kieth lived in the United States and abroad until 1980, when Kieth retired from the Air Force and made their home in Overton. In November of 2004, due to failing health, Kieth made his home in Bertrand to be near his son and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ellen in 2000, and brother, Randy.

Survivors include his son, David and wife, Pat Pierce of Bertrand; two daughters: Dawn and husband, Frank Tilley of Warner Robins, Ga., and Denise and husband, Keith Nelson of Elm Creek: two brothers, Elroy and wife, Connie Pierce of Eustis and Monty and wife, Terri Pierce of Stapleton; one sister, Mary Ann McCarter of Trenton; and eight grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be 10 a.m., Saturday at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington, with the Rev. Jeff Ernstmeyer officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be given in his name to the donors choice.

Private Family Inurnment will be held in the Park Valley Cemetery at Eddyville.
