NORTON, Kan. -- Dorothy M.Wolfe, 86, of Norton, Kan., died Tuesday (March 16, 2006) at the Andbe Home in Norton.
She was born April 17, 1919, at Wilsonville to Harry and Mary Bess (Fleming) Bieghler. She grew up in the Wilsonville area and graduated from Wilsonville High School with the class of 1936.
On Dec. 20, 1938, she married Dale Wolfe in Lexington. The couple farmed near Wilsonville until moving to Norton in 1957. She operated a day care center in her home for several years. Dale died July 8, 1987. She moved into the Andbe Home in Norton on April 4, 2003.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Norton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale; a sister, Verneta Kisker; and son-in-law, Dennis McMullen.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Wolfe and wife, Jeri of Toledo, Ohio, Randall Wolfe and wife, Leanna of Lakin, Kan.; two daughters, Rosalie McMullen of Norton, Rovella Sue and husband, Gary LeCount of Hays, Kan.; one brother, Dean Bieghler and wife, Velda of Beaver City; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Norton with the Rev. Kathy Aeillo officiating. Burial will follow at the Norton Cemetery.
Viewing and visitation will be today, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Thursday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Norton and Friday prior to services at the church
