TRENTON -- Evelyn M. Moses, 87, died Sunday (March 11, 2006) in Trenton.
She was born July 31, 1918 in Grand Island, to Carl and Bonnie Anderson.
She grew up in North Platte and later lived in Sutherland, where she worked at the Sutherland Hospital as a nurse.
On May 31, 1952, she married Howard F. Moses. The couple lived in Commerce City, Colo., for the last 50 years.
In recent years she served as a greeter at WalMart. She was an avid writer and had several short stories published.
She was a founding member of the Derby Plain Janes extension club and was active in a numberber of senior groups including the Walking Group, the Writing Bunch, and volunteering with Tiny Tots program. She was a volunteer in the local schools. She was a member of the Citizens Advisory Board of Conoco and later the Citizens Advisory Board of Suncor.
Memorial services will be at the Senior Center in Commerce City, Colo., 6060 E. Parkway Drive, at 11 a.m., Friday.
Graveside services will be at the North Platte Cemetery in North Platte, Saturday at 1 p.m.,
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte.
Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
