Aaron and Michelle Aramayo

Michelle R. Walkenshaw and Aaron D. Aramayo were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, with Wyatt Carson of McCook, brother of the bridegroom, officiating.

Parents of the couple are Deb Walkenshaw of Trenton, Alonso and Patricia Sapien of Reno, Nev., and Janet Powers of Trenton.

Grandparents of the couple are Shirley Keyes of Grove, Okla., the late Leon Keyes, Dan and Rene Walkenshaw of Gardnerville, Nev., Jose and Blanca Sapien of Coacalco, Mexico, Dorothy Powers of Trenton and the late Lester Powers.

The bride wore an ivory-colored, A-line gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline. The bodice was adorned with reembroidered Alencon lace. The waist had asymmetrical pleating and there were buttons down the center back. She carried a round bouquet of mixed flowers in autumn-inspired colors.

Diane Holthaus of McCook, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tara Cole of McCook, Lynda Redden of Ozark, Ark., and Lori Kohlmeier of McCook. The bridesmaids each wore strapless tops made of black satin and long skirts of black and brown iridescent taffeta. They carried small bouquets of mixed flowers in autumn colors.

The bridegroom wore a black tuxedo with a mandarin-banded collar jacket, a full-black vest and cravat tie and a rust-colored flower on his coat.

Alan Aramayo of Omaha, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Bridegroomsmen were Tim Holthaus, Dustin Banzhaf and Jason Detty, all of McCook. The bridegroomsmen each wore a tuxedo similar to the bridegroom's and each wore a flower in an autumn color on his coat.

Ushers were Tyrel Carson of Lincoln, brother of the bride, Ryan Walkenshaw of Trenton, brother of the bride, and Zachary Schoenauer of Carrier, Miss., cousin of the bride. Music was provided by Paul Siebert of Henderson.

Guestbook attendant was Amber Rooney of Stapleton; program attendant was Dana Schoenauer of Carrier, cousin of the bride; and placecard attendant was Leslie Nichols of Omaha.

A reception followed at the Republican River Valley Events Center in McCook. Cake servers were Tammy Person of Carrier, aunt of the bride, and Shirley Keyes of Grove, grandmother of the bride.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Trenton High School. The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of American Cooperative School in La Paz, Bolivia.

The couple honeymooned in San Diego, Calif., and will make their home in Asheville, N.C.
