CAMBRIDGE -- Harlan Richard "Baldy" Mortimore, 95, died Friday (March 10, 2006) at the Cambridge Manor in Cambridge.
He was born Feb. 21, 1911, at Blue Springs in Gage County to Charles Harlan and Bertha Ellen (Bridgford) Mortimore. He attended school in Freedom.
He was a farmer.
He married Nancy Ellen Thomas in 1958. They farmed south of Stockville until moving to Cambridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mahlen and Ervin; sisters, Mable Callan, Ellie Callan, Violet Wood, Veda Mortimore and Alice Arent.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Cambridge; sister, Charlotte Haller and husband, Glenn of rural Atwood; sister-in-law, Willa Mortimore of Curtis; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at the Stockville Congregational Church in Stockville with Raymond Durner officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow at the Arbor Cemetery in Stockville.
Visitation will be Sunday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., at Williams Funeral Home in Atwood and Tuesday, 11 a.m., at the church.
Memorials are being accepted in his name and can be left at the funeral home.
Williams Funeral Home of Atwood is in charge of arrangements.
