Nov. 3, 1914--March 4, 2006
GRANT -- Raymond Lashley, 91, died Saturday (March 4, 2006) at the Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant.
He was born Nov. 3, 1914, in Hayes County to Walter and Nellsine (Kristiansen) Lashley. He attended rural school south of Hayes Center.
He married Elva Schneider on Oct. 6, 1957. The couple made their home on their farm northwest of Culbertson until 1965 when they moved to McCook. Elva preceded him in death in 1989. He moved to Wallace in 1991 and Grant in 1993.
He worked as a farmer and at Klein's Motor and Electric.
He was a former member of the Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Leonard and George Lashley; a sister, Mamie Merrill; two half-brothers, Hans and Nels Hansen; and a half-sister, Millie Bible.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at the Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook with John Long officiating.
Bullock-Long Funeral Home of Grant is in charge of arrangements.
