Heather Blackman and Ryan Pierce, both of Lincoln, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. Parents of the couple are Terry and Bethene Blackman of Lincoln, Jeff Pierce of Des Moines, Iowa, and Susan Pierce of Dallas, Texas. Grandparents of the bride-to-be are Herb and Velma Lauer of McCook and Lee Blackman of Indianola. The bride-to-be received a bachelor's degree in business from Doane College. She is an account manager with FACTS Management Co. The prospective bridegroom received a bachelor's degree in communication studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a loan officer with First Nebraska Educators Credit Union. The ceremony is planned for Saturday, April 29, 2006, at the Christ Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
