Virginia L. Lebsack

Virginia Lee Lebsack died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook at the age of 83.

She was born Sept. 24, 1922, in McCook, the daughter of Frank and Mae (Jones) O'Donnell. She grew up in McCook and attended McCook Senior High School.

She began working at Fremont before returning to McCook, where she was a bookkeeper for Clapps Store for Women.

On July 15, 1949, Virginia married Artie Lebsack in McCook and they spent their married lives in McCook.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook. She enjoyed her family, friends and golf.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Vera Hassler, Marguerite Kilburn, Patsy Adams and Margie O'Donnell.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Artie of McCook; two daughters, Lori Backer and husband, David of Boise, Idaho, and Patsy Botts of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren, Dani Nicolle Backer and Kasi Brianne Backer of Boise and Braun Landon Backer, Kyle Easton Botts and McKenna Botts of Denver; one brother, Larry O'Donnell and wife, Evelyn; and relatives and friends.

Rosary will be today, 7:30 p.m., at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook and funeral services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook with Rev. Gary Brethour officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.

Memorials may be given in her name and friends may call at Herrmann Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
