SELDEN -- Richard P. Koerperich, 65, died Thursday (Jan. 26, 2006) at his home in Selden.
He was born May 19, 1940, in Hays, Kan., to Bernard Koerperich and Helen Jaster. He graduated from Selden Rural High School in 1958.
He married Sandy Brantley on April 19, 1960, in Selden.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Selden.
He was the owner of Koerperich Bookbinders.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son in infancy, Bryon Lee Koerperich; and two brothers-in-law, Don Sloan and Dale Swank.
Survivors include his fiancee, Renee Ochsner of Selden; five sons, Bernard Koerperich and wife, Bobbie of Selden, Chris Koerperich and wife, Dana of Oberlin, Dallas Koerperich of Selden, John Koerperich and wife, Jennifer of Lenora, Kan., and Don Koerperich and wife, Katie of Selden; brothers, Eddie Koerperich of Denver, Colo., Jim Koerperich and wife, Maurita of Garden City, Kan., and Ron Koerperich and wife, Cheryl of Topeka, Kan.; sisters, Agnes Swank of Garden City, Leona Rogers and husband, Gerald of Newton, Kan., Bernadette Austin and husband, Neil of Garden City and Judy Sloan of Pawhuska, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday, 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Selden with the Rev. George Kochuvelikkakam officiating. Interment will be in the Selden Cemetery.
Vigil will be Sunday, 7 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Selden. Visitation will be Sunday, 1-8 p.m., and Monday, 8 a.m., at the funeral home.
Memorials are being accepted in his name.
