Fanny Ellen Peacock

ATWOOD -- Fanny Ellen (Patten) Peacock, 100, formerly of Bird City, died Thursday (Jan. 26, 2006) at the Rawlins County Health Center in Atwood.

She was born March 29, 1905, in Decatur County.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie McCoy Peacock in 1953, and a son, Neal Peacock in 1994.

Survivors include sister, Elsie Penn of Atwood; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, 2 p.m., at the First Christian Church in St. Francis. Interment will be in the Bird City Cemetery.

Visitation will be today, 3-9 p.m., and Saturday, 8-11 a.m., at Knodel Funeral Home in St. Francis.

Memorials are being accepted in her name at the Bird City Senior Center or the Atwood Good Samaritan Center.

Knodel Funeral Home of St. Francis is in charge of arrangements.
