CAMBRIDGE -- Evelyn I. Marble, 93, died Wednesday (Jan. 25, 2006) at the Cambridge Manor.
She was born near Marquette on June 30, 1912, to Cleveland and Minnie (Ballard) Stalnaker. She graduated from Grand Island High School in 1931.
She married Leonard Brittain. She married Clark Eugene Marble in December 1946. The family then moved to Cambridge, where they later purchased the Luther Market.
She worked as cook at the Heritage Plaza.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; four siblings, Dean, James, Eugene and Irene.
Survivors include daughter, Sharon K. Marble of Cambridge; son, Steven of Omaha; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services are tentatively set for Monday, 1 p.m., at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Cambridge with the Rev. David Rowe officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Cambridge.
Memorials are being accepted in her name at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Cambridge.
Lockenour-Jones Mortuary of Cambridge is in charge of arrangements.
