ATWOOD -- Ruby Virginia Baumfalk, 86, died Saturday (Jan. 14, 2006) at the Ellis Good Samaritan Center in Ellis, Kan.
She was born on Oct. 10, 1919, in Kansas to Matthew Cornelius and Charlotte Mae (Butzbach) Rummel. She attended Atwood High School.
She married Hugo M. Baumfalk on Dec. 24, 1937, in Atwood.
She worked at Gambles, Crest Motel and Buffalo Cafe. She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo on Sept. 1, 1979, and a sister, Vida Davis.
Survivors include daughters, Vonda and husband, Dick Corder of Wichita, Kan., Virginia Clermont of Hays, Kan., Delores Pettis of Delta, Colo., and Janis and husband, Otis Trober of Hays; sisters, Verdean Clark of Juanyura, Ore., Pauline Minch of Loveland, Colo., and Estermae and husband, Vern of Phoenix, Ariz.; and brothers, Harley and wife, Elaine of Michigan, Matthew and wife, Mary of Enid, Okla., and Eugene and wife, Darlene of Norwood, Colo.
Services will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at Brantley Funeral Home in Atwood with the Rev. Christine Edwards officiating. Interment will be in the Atwood Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be today, until 9 p.m., Wednesday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., and Thursday, before services.
Memorials are being accepted in her name.
