KEARNEY -- Clinton Allan Wear, 53, died Sunday (Jan. 15, 2006) at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

He was born in North Platte on April 2, 1952, to Alfred and Helen (Flock) Wear. He graduated from Farnam High School in 1970. 

He married Mary Purdy a year after high school graduation. They made their home in Broken Bow and Elwood, before they separated.

He worked for New Holland, drove a pay loader and was an over the road trucker.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred in 1976, and mother-in-law, Ada Purdy.

Survivors include his mother, Helen of Curtis; a daughter, Billie and husband, James Taylor of Cambridge; a brother, Clifford and wife, Sandy Wear of Eustis; and five grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge with the Rev. David Rowe officiating. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.

Visitation will be Wednesday, until 8 p.m., at the mortuary. The casket will be closed during services.

Memorials are being accepted in his name.
