NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- Jordie Ingrid Bogart, 76, formerly of Decatur County, died Tuesday (Jan. 10, 2006) in Sylmar, Calif.

She was born April 21, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., to August Bernard Strand and Ingrid Astrid Moe. She graduated from Walwerth High School in Walwerth, Ill.

She married Elwood Bogart on Nov. 5, 1955, in Waukegan, Ill. The couple made their home on a farm in Decatur County.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Prairie Chapel Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elwood Bogart; and two brothers, Arnold and Ernie Strand.

Survivors include sons, Mark E. Bogart of Santa Monica, Calif., and Wayne E. Bogart of Kansas City, Kan.; daughter, Cynthia Binns and husband, Mike of Simi Valley, Calif.; brothers, Leif Strand and wife, Edie of Jefferson City, Mo., and Melvin Strand and wife, Merry of Sharon, Wis.; sisters, June Nelmark and husband, Walter of San Marcos, Calif., Ethel Taylor and husband, Bob of Elkhorn, Wis., and Margot Sample and husband, Ken of Odessa, Texas; and two grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, 3 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Doug Hasty officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, noon.

Memorials are being accepted in her name.
