COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Clifford John Fiala Sr., 69, died Tuesday (Jan. 10, 2006) at his home in Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was born Dec. 3, 1936, in Decatur County to John Fiala ad Alice Janousek. He graduated from Decatur Community High School.
He married Clois Ann Childs on Dec. 3, 1955, in Selden, Kan. They made their home in Denver, Colo., Jennings, Kan., Oberlin and Colorado Springs
He owned a foundation company.
He was a member of BPOE 303 in Colorado Springs.
He was preceded in death by his father and sister-in-law, Evelyn McCrary.
Survivors include his wife, Clois Ann Fiala of Colorado Springs; mother, Alice Fiala of Oberlin; sons, Marvin Fiala and wife, Yolanda and Clifford Fiala Jr. and wife, Leona, all of Colorado Springs; daughter, Janice Lathan and husband, Dan of Colorado Springs; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. James Jennings officiating. Interment will be at the Rexford Cemetery in Rexford, Kan.
Visitation will be Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. The family will receive friends Friday, 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Memorials are being accepted in his name at Pike's Peak Hospice or Rexford Cemetery Fund.
