Roma Arline Schauer, 77, died Thursday (Jan. 5, 2006) at her home in McCook.

She was born Nov. 13, 1928, in Bethune, Colo., to Chester Lee and Bernice (Jeffers) Spahr.

On Oct. 7, 1946, she married Reuben Schauer at Bethune. They made their home in Burlington, Colo., and Oshkosh for many years before moving to McCook, where she and her husband owned and operated Schauer Oil Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Bernice Spahr, and husband, Reuben Schauer.

Survivors include her children, Kevin Schauer and wife, Candra of Springfield, Mo., Royce Schauer and wife, Joleen of Maxwell and Kaylea Schauer of Papillion; two brothers, Rev. Keith Spahr of Greeley, Colo., and Doyle Spahr and wife, Jan of Beatrice; one sister, Ruth and husband, Bob Jensen of Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Calvary Assembly of God Church in North Platte with the Rev. Carey Higgen officiating. A private family inurnment will be at a later date.
