TROPHY CLUB, Texas -- Neva Kahler Erway, 67, died Friday (Dec. 30, 2005) as the result of Lou Gehrig's Disease.
She was born Oct. 22, 1938, in Maywood to Frank and Emma (Hayden) Kahler. She graduated from Maywood High School.
She worked at the Maywood Bank, the National Bank of Commerce in Lincoln and the National Warranty Insurance Company.
She was a member of the Firethorn Golf Club, Trophy Club Golf, Nebraska Women's Golf Association, Christ United Methodist Church and various other clubs and women's organizations.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Emma Kahler; sister, Genny Welker; brother, Kenneth Kahler; and a nephew-in-law.
Survivors include her husband, Donald G. Erway; stepson, Randall and wife, Ronda Erway of Lincoln; stepdaughters, Kerry and husband, Keith Hannan of Baltimore, Md., and Jana and husband, Steve Miller of Lincoln; mother-in-law, Violet Erway of Lincoln; sister-in-law, Jackie Bausback of Omaha; brother, Leon and wife, Nick Kahler of Colleyville, Texas; sisters, Eva Mae Schmitz and husband, Cloid of Curtis and Norma Welker of Shelby, Mont.; eight grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the Christ United Methodist Church in Lincoln.
Visitation will be today, until 9 p.m., at Butherus, Maser and Love Funeral Home in Lincoln. The family will be present today, 6-8 p.m.
Memorials are being accepted in her name to Hospice of Tabitha in Lincoln and the MD-ALS Association in Omaha.
