OBERLIN -- Elenora Josephine Edgett, 88, died Friday (Dec. 30, 2005) at the Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin.
She was born May 10, 1917, in rural Jennings to Joseph Fred Krizek and Ella Anna Heilman. She attended Fairview No. 77 and graduated from Dresden High School in 1936.
She married Thomas W. McCarbrey in 1942. She married Henry F. Edgett in 1963. She lived in Topeka, Kan., Jennings and Oberlin.
She was a postal employee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Delmar Krizek; and a sibling in infancy.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Edgett of Oberlin; a son, Michael T. McCarbrey and wife, Joon of Shawnee, Kan.; a daughter, Diana L. McCarbrey of Wichita; stepdaughters, Diane E. Stutterheim and husband, Roy and Nyla D. Gebhard and husband, Craig, all of Long Island, Kan.; brother, Dale Krizek and wife, Ardell of North Platte; sisters, Margaret Vacura of Oberlin, Sylvia Neel of Fort Worth, Texas, and Amy Weichmann of Wichita; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were Monday at the Jennings United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carrie Buhler officiating. Interment was in Big Timber Cemetery in rural Jennings.
Memorials are being accepted in her name at the Jennings Museum.
