McConville, Nelms wedding

Brooke Erin McConville and Mitchell Alan Nelms were united in marriage Saturday, June 11, 2005, at Peace Lutheran Church in McCook, with the Rev. Randy Wahl officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mark and Kim McConville and Merrit and Susan Nelms, all of Indianola, and Tom and Carol Miller of Dana Point, Calif.

Grandparents of the couple are Eileene Grose of Oberlin, Richard and Luella McConville of McCook, the late Lorraine Morosic, Max and Dona Nelms of Hartley and Robert and Elaine Miller of Oberlin.

The bride wore a white satin gown in a strap design with intricate beading enhancing the top. An asymmetrical wrap in soft gathers was caught at the side waist over the paneled skirt and was heavily beaded. The train was a chapel-length. She carried a bouquet of mini callas, alstros, roses, daisies and mini carnations in soft pastel colors.

Brittany McConville of Indianola, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Melody Heskett of Riley, Kan., sister of the bridegroom, Kendra Linder of Valparaiso, Jennifer Esch of Indianola and Michelle Neel of McCook.

Shane North of McCook served as the best man. The bridegroomsmen were brothers of the bridegroom, Marshall Nelms of North Liberty, Iowa, and Mason Nelms of Indianola and Nathan Liess of Indianola and Dylan McConville, brother of the bride, of Indianola.

The bride's personal attendant was Allie McConville of Indianola, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Jeremy Heskett of Riley, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Brandon Fichtner of McCook, cousin of the bridegroom, and Nate Doremus of Benedict.

The flower girl was sister of the bride, Kelly Miller of Dana Point. Christian Nelms of Tuscon, Ariz., nephew of the bridegroom, served as the ringbearer. Candlelighters were Tanaya Martinez of Tuscon, niece of the bridegroom, and Anissa Morosic of Indianola, cousin of the bridegroom.

The guestbook attendants were cousins of the bride Layne and Cassa McConville, both of Indianola. Program attendants were Clifford O'Dell of McCook, cousin of the bride, and Ashlee Morosic of Indianola, cousin of the bridegroom.

Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Cheryl Metcalf of Oberlin, aunt of the bride, and soloists Jessica Miller of Dana Point, sister of the bride, and Joe Haag of McCook.

A reception dinner and dance followed the ceremony at the Red Willow County Fairgrounds. Hosts were Patty Frisbey of Richmond, Mo., aunt of the bridegroom, Janette Johnson of North Liberty and Dave and Ondrea McConville of Indianola, uncle and aunt of the bride. The cake servers were, cousins of the bride, Nealy Meisinger and Brittney Vontz, both of Omaha.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Republican Valley High School. She received an associate's degree from Southeast Community College in Lincoln in 2004. She is employed with Children's Hospital in Omaha as a respiratory therapist.

The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Republican Valley High School. He received an associate's degree from Northeast Community College in Norfolk in 2003. He is employed with Cordel Foreign Motors in Omaha as a mechanic.

The couple honeymooned in September at the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean. They are making their home in Omaha.
