OBERLIN -- Norma Elwood Frandsen, 73, died Monday (Nov. 14, 2005) at her home in Oberlin.
She was born March 30, 1932, in Wilsonville to Henry Michals and Grace Gilpin. She attended Wilsonville High School.
She married Robert Neal Elwood on Dec. 31, 1949, in Wilsonville, he preceded her in death in 1998. She married Lloyd Frandsen on Dec. 30, 2001, in Cambridge. She made her home in Wilsonville until moving to Oberlin in 1976.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Oberlin United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Grace Michals; her first husband, Robert Neal Elwood; a son-in-law, Lyle Springer; and a brother-in-law, Leon O'Brien.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Frandsen of Cambridge; sons, Mike and wife Jacque Elwood of Oberlin, Danny and wife, Judy Elwood of Oberlin and Kyle and wife, Kelly Elwood of Salina; daughters, Charlene Springer of Lebanon, Susan and husband, Wally Wilson of Blair, Jody and husband, Kenny Black of Oberlin and Sandi and husband, Monty McLain of McLean, Texas; sisters, Carolyn O'Brien of Cambridge and Marilyn and husband, Darel Brown of Goldsboro, N.C.; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Oberlin with the Rev. Doug Hasty officiating. Interment will be at the Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation is today, until 8 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin and Thursday, 8 a.m., at the church.
Memorials are being accepted in her name at the Hospice of McCook.
