GARDEN GROVE, Calif. -- Robert L. Williams, 82, died Sept. 25, 2005, at his home in Garden Grove, Calif., from cancer.
He was born April 21, 1923, south of Curtis to Robert "Rob" and Elsie Williams. He attended grade school in Frontier County and graduated in 1940 from the Nebraska School of Agriculture in Curtis.
In 1945, Bob joined the Army Air Corp. After his discharge, he moved to California where he trained as an aircraft assembler and worked for Northrup. Later, he joined his brother, Paul, in running the New Fishall Bait Company, processing, packaging and distributing fish bait. He continued to be active in the business until shortly before his death.
Survivors include sons, Robert, William and Kent; daughters, Paula Jo McDonald, Linda Poole and Joan Williams; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces, Joanne Roedel, Carol Max and Karen Collins; and nephews, Larry Ruppert, Ricky, Dave and Steve Williams.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Melba; his parents; his sister and brother-in-law, Glenn and Mable Ruppert; brothers, Paul and Richard Williams; and nephew, Don Ruppert.
Services were Oct. 9 at Calvary Chapel West Grove in Garden Grove.
