Chester W. Rima, 66, died Sunday (Nov. 13, 2005) at Community Hospital of McCook.

He was born Aug. 8, 1939, in Brush, Colo., to Fred Wyman and Peggy (Coleman) Rima. He attended McCook Public Schools.

He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1956 and served in the National Guard. He was honorably discharged on July 18, 1957.

On Nov. 6, 1987, he married Wanda K. Van Cleave in McCook.

He was a truck driver for several trucking companies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Peggy Rima, and one brother, Wayne Rima.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda of McCook; three sons, John Rima of McCook, Richard Rima and wife, Sheri of Lexington and David Rima and wife, Jackie of Harvard; two daughters, Susan Rima of McCook and Lacy Rima of Missouri; one brother, Richard Rima of McCook; one sister, Beth Goltl of Oberlin; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Chapel with the Rev. Jon Albrecht officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will be Friday, 3 p.m., at Riverview Cemetery.
