HAIGLER -- Edna H. Zuege, 88, died Friday (Oct. 28, 2005) at the Sarah Ann Hester Memorial Home in Benkelman.

She was born Feb. 28, 1917, in McCook to Jacob and Pauline (Becker) Koch and attended school until she was needed at home. They later moved to Haigler.

On Nov. 17, 1937, Edna married Fred Zuege in Denver, Colo. She was a homemaker and cook at the Haigler School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Pauline Koch, and her husband, Fred Zuege.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Kreachbaum and husband, Russell of Haigler; sisters, Elsie Johnson of Aurora, Colo., and Gladys Fisher of Strasburg, Colo.; brothers, Ben Koch of Arvada, Colo., and Harry Koch of Milligan, Colo.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services were today at Zion Lutheran Church in Haigler with the Rev. Chris Farmer officiating. Inurnment followed services at the Haigler Cemetery.

Forch Funeral Chapel of Benkelman is in charge of arrangements.
