Shawna Lynn Herrman of Dodge City, Kan., and Jeffery Douglas Brooks of Indianola announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. Parents of the couple are Johnny and Brenda Herrman of Dodge City and Larry and Shirley Brooks of McCook. Grandparents of the couple are Lee and Wanda Berger of Jetmore, Kan., Emanuel Herrman of Dodge City, the late Wilma Herrman, Orville and Ruth Stewart of Indianola, Norma Brooks of Indianola and the late JD Brooks. The bride-to-be is a secretary at Daffer Transportation. The prospective bridegroom is a farmer/rancher. The ceremony is planned for Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at the Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook.
