LINCOLN -- Cozetta Lamoni Porter, 73, died Sunday (Oct. 23, 2005) at Bryan LGH Hospital in Lincoln.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1932, in Frontier County to Louis C. and Clarissa M. (Blake) Fritsche. She graduated from Maywood high School in 1950.

On April 8, 1950, she married Vernon L. Porter at the Methodist Church in Maywood. They made their home in Maywood and Hayes Center, moving to Lincoln in 1977.

She worked as a computer operator for a bank.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Clarissa Fritsche; twin daughter, Mary Lou; and three brothers-in-law, Richard Otto Blake, Dale Porter and Ronald Baker.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon Porter of Lincoln; daughter, Nancy Fricke of Ogallala; son, Larry Porter and wife, Marjorie of McCook; a brother, Paul Fritsche and wife, LaVina of McCook; a sister, Mildred Baker of Papillion; three sisters-in-law, Vertice Porter of Crestview, Fla., Mildred Blake of Bennett, Colo., and Roberta and husband, Delbert Maris of McCook; one brother-in-law, Ivan Porter of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandsons; one granddaughter; two great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 1 p.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating. Interment will be in the Maywood Cemetery.

Rosary will be Thursday, 7 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook. Visitation will be Tuesday, 2-9 p.m., at Roper and Sons Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the family greeting friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, from 9 a.m. until the time of rosary, and Friday, 9-11 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook.
