Fax Gilbert, left, interviews Lynda Baumbach who is portraying an immigrant who moves to Nebraska, at "The Great Nebraska History Play" presented at the Senior High Auditorium on Friday. Gilbert has performed more than 3,000 educational events across the Midwest by using kinetic teaching -- teaching through movement. As the artist-in-residence at the McCook Junior High Oct. 10 - 14, Gilbert worked with Baumbach's eighth grade social studies students by using mime, magic tricks and role playing. Gilbert 's residence was sponsored by the Nebraska Arts Council and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Also appearing as part of the immigrant family are, from bottom left, Kari Hilker, Alex True, Samantha Yonkers, and Alyssa Mohr. Back, from left, are Nick Meissner, Fax, Jade Alfrecht and Baumbach.
