MCDONALD -- Myrtle M. (Peters) Hazuka, 90, died Wednesday (Oct. 5, 2005) at the Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin.

She was born Oct. 9, 1914, in Haxton, Colo., to C.W. and Goldie (Gerald) Peters.

She married Joe R. Hazuka in 1934. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; sisters; her husband, Joe; daughter, Vivian Doris; son, Robert Eugene; and great-grandson, Joseph A.R. Hazuka III.

Survivors include her son, Dale and wife, Avis of McDonald; sister-in-law, Edith Peters of Brush, Colo.; brother-in-law, Al Grizzle of Denver, Colo.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be Saturday, 2 p.m., at the Wesleyan Community Church in Bird City with the Rev. Dan Carson officiating. Graveside services will follow at Grace Cemetery in McDonald.

Visitation is today, until 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m.-noon; at Williams Funeral Home in Atwood and Saturday, after 1 p.m., at the church in Bird City.

Memorials are being accepted in her name at the Wesleyan Community Church in Bird City.

Williams Funeral Home of Atwood is in charge of arrangements.
