Thelma T. Adams, 97, died Friday (Sept. 23, 2005) at Hillcrest Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 4, 1908, in Purdum to Samuel Henry and Grace Adelaide (Oldham) Teaford. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1926.

She married Raymond P. Walter in 1928 in Kansas City, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1988. She married James S. Adams in Las Vegas, Nev., on April 15, 1992.

She was a member of the McCook Memorial United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; one son, Rodney Walter; one daughter, Elaine Botts; two brothers, Raymond and Everett Teaford; and two sisters, Helen Keller and Mariam Pruitt.

Survivors include her husband, James Adams of McCook; son-in-law Dean Botts of McCook; one stepson, Alan Adams and wife, Annie of Silverthorn, Colo.; one stepdaughter, Phyllis Schwarz and husband, Gerald of Callaway; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday, 9:30 a.m., at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Services at Purdum United Church of Christ will be Tuesday, 3 p.m., with the Rev. Judy Cook officiating. The Rev. Jerry Schwarz will also be officiating both services. Interment will be in the Purdum Cemetery.
