Wallace volleyball splits matches

PAXTON -- Wallace's girls volleyball team took on Paxton and Potter-Dix Tuesday in the Paxton Triangular.

Wallace beat Potter-Dix in two out of three sets but lost to Paxton.

Whitney Hochstetler led Wallace in spiking, serves and blocks. Ashley Whitson led in setting in both games. Wallace is now 7-1 for the season.

ELM CREEK -- Southern Valley girls volleyball team lost out to Elm Creek Tuesday 25-21, 25-17, 25-13.

"All of Elm Creek's teams were good tonight," said Eagles Coach Suzanne Stanton. "We had better communication and court movement. I was happy with our consistency and focus on being better."

Hennessey Hoagland tallied four points for the Eagles. Jenae Perkins had 10 attacks while Megan Becker had eight and Hoagland had six.
