Eleska Irene Mishler, 95, died Friday (Sept. 16, 2005) at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.
She was born July 28, 1910, to Gottfried and Emma Rose (Ummel) Rufenacht in Ransom, Kan. She was educated in Kansas.
She married John G. Mishler in Ransom. She became an elementary school teacher and taught piano lessons.
She was a member of the Ransom Mennonite Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, custodian and played the piano.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; several brothers and sisters; and niece, Dorothy Schreiber, whom she raised from a young age.
Survivors include her two great-nieces, Jane Paschall and husband, Dave of Culbertson and Gail Griffin and husband, Paul of Irving, Texas.
Services were today at the Mennonite Church in Ramsom, with the Rev. Eric Buller officiating. Interment was in the Ransom Cemetery.
Memorials are being accepted in her name at the Ransom Mennonite Church.
