OBERLIN -- Dale Wilson Bryan, 85, died Saturday (Sept. 17, 2005) at the Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin.
He was born Dec. 9, 1919, to Newton Bryan and Margaret Patterson in rural Decatur County.
He attended Addelman Country School.
He married Billie Kathka on June 13, 1943, in Atwood. The couple moved to Oberlin in 1950. He was a farmer and worked as a mechanic for Anderson and Son Implement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robert Bryan; and two brothers, Norton and Claxton Bryan.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Bryan of Oberlin; son, James Bryan and wife, Leanna of Oberlin; daughters, Margaret Elaine Leatherman and husband, Merle of McPherson, Kan., and Donna Donner and husband, Roy of McCook; sister, Betty Slaybaugh and husband, Milton of Tucson, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Tom Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation is today, until 8 p.m., and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
Memorials are being accepted at the Dale Bryan Memorial Fund.
