STRATTON -- Jeannine R. Pierce, 76, died Sunday (Sept. 11, 2005) at her home in Stratton.
She was born Feb. 8, 1929, to John and Edith (Ward) Randall in Stratton. She graduated from Stratton High School in 1947.
She married Ted W. Pierce on Oct. 10, 1948.
She worked at the Stratton Post Office and at Stratton Public Schools. She was a den mother and helped with the Rainbow Girls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edith Randall; brothers, Donald Randall and Burdette Randall; and two sisters, Ethel Fay and Maxine Crocker.
Survivors include her husband, Ted Pierce of Stratton; children, Diana and husband, Gene of Grand Island, Phil Pierce and wife, Teresa of Ogallala, Teresa "Terri" Anderson of Beatrice and John Pierce and wife, Janice of Lincoln; sister, Marjorie Randall of Trenton; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Janene (Randall) Tidwell; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will gather for a private inurnment and graveside service on Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Stratton with the Rev. Brian Fong officiating. There will be no visitation. No other services are scheduled.
Memorials are being accepted at the Community Hospital Home Health and Hospice of McCook or a hospice of the donor's choice.
