ARAPAHOE -- Charles Henry Mueller, 85, died Saturday (Aug. 20, 2005) at the Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege.
He was born Aug. 4, 1920, to Charles H. and Winnie (Harrison) Mueller in Craig. He graduated from Tekamah High School in 1937.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from October 1942 to February 1946.
He married Lillian Carlson on March 6, 1946, in Oakland. The couple made their home in Tekamah until moving to Arapahoe in 1968.
He was a partner of the Watson-Mueller Implement Company; he retired in 1985. He was a member of the Arapahoe American Legion Post No. 96 and the Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, David Mueller and Charles Mueller.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Mueller of Arapahoe; two sons, Lyle Mueller and wife, Maryellen of Fair Acres, Va., and Robert Mueller and wife, Angela of Plattsmouth; a sister, Delores Jensen of Tekamah; and six grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe with the Rev. Jeff W. Ernstmeyer officiating. Committal service will be Friday, 2 p.m., at the Tekamah Cemetery in Tekamah with the Rev. Carl Lilienkamp officiating.
