CAMBRIDGE -- Robert W. Sandman, 59, died Monday (Aug. 15, 2005) as the result of an accident.
He was born Nov. 11, 1945, in McCook to Clarence and Onna (Stock) Sandman. He attended Afton Country School and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1964.
He married Linda Bunker on June 6, 1970, in McCook. They farmed north of Cambridge.
He was a member of the Frontier County Fair Board, the Cambridge Saddle Club, Nebraska Cattlemans Association, Team Penning and was a 4-H leader.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence; brother, Dwight; and sister, Eulene.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of Cambridge; a daughter, B.J. and husband, Greg Puttergill of Tryon; his mother, Onna of Cambridge; a brother, Roger Sandman of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, 2 p.m., at the Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Rowe officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Cambridge.
Memorials are being accepted in his name at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge.
